Ch 32: The Malevolent Monster Just Wants To Farm Sep 09 2024September 9, 2024 A white-haired female demon stood beside the locust tree, laughing heartily. “Huaiyin, so you finally meet your end.” Just as she finished speaking, she noticed Jiang Lin entering and asked warily, “Who are you?” The fact that this strange man had arrived without her noticing made her wary. The dying locust tree demon also noticed Jiang Lin. The previously still leaves started to tremble as if trying to muster all the strength left. With just that small movement, almost all the remaining withered leaves fell, leaving the tree completely bare. Seeing her in such a state, Jiang Lin was surprised. With injuries this severe, how would she have survived if he hadn’t come? He certainly didn’t want her to die. Looking at the white-haired demon, Jiang Lin said directly, “Her life is mine now.” The white-haired demon’s expression changed, and she gritted her teeth. “I am under the command of the Moon King. This locust tree demon and I have a deep blood feud. Sheās on her last breathāwhy must you interfere?” The Moon King? Jiang Lin searched his memory and vaguely remembered that he was a silver wolf who had claimed a mountain as his own and proclaimed himself king. Jiang Lin didn’t waste words with the white-haired demon. He released a powerful wave of demonic energy that pressed heavily upon her. “I have no quarrel with you and don’t wish to fight,” Jiang Lin said. “Do you want to leave on your own, or do you want me to make you leave?” The overwhelming demonic power was clearly something she couldnāt contend with. The white-haired demon looked at Jiang Lin in frustration. “Sir, could it be that you are also captivated by Huaiyin’s appearance? Sheās nothing butā” Jiang Lin cast a cold glance at her, and the white-haired demon sensed the killing intent in his eyes. She didn’t dare provoke this mysterious figure, whose strength was unknown. Glancing back at the locust tree demon, she figured that with such severe injuries, the demon probably wouldn’t survive even if she didnāt stay to finish the job. Without further delay, she turned into a stream of light and left. Jiang Lin stepped forward and stood in front of the locust tree. The tree rustled a bit, and then a dim light flickered as a beautiful woman in a dark red robe emerged from the trunk. Her face was as pale as gold leaf, and her breath was weakāshe was clearly on the brink of death. The tree demon bowed to Jiang Lin. “Thank you, sir, for saving my life.” Jiang Lin looked at her face with a curious expression. The tree demon hesitated and asked, “Is there something strange about my face?” Jiang Lin shook his head. “Not really, I just saw all your leaves fall off, so I thought I might see a bald head.” The tree demon: “⦔ Jiang Linās thoughts had briefly wandered into a modern mindset, but he quickly returned to the main issue. “You might not want to thank me just yet.” Hearing this, the tree demon coughed, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth. She seemed on the verge of collapse, barely able to lean against her trunk for support. “You’re on the verge of death,” Jiang Lin stated. Huaiyin looked at Jiang Lin with pleading eyes. “Please, sir, save my life.” She knew very well that the Black Mountain Lord wouldn’t have come here for no reason. Since he had saved her from her mortal enemy, he clearly didnāt want her to die easily. As she thought this over, she recalled what the white-haired demon had said before leaving. Subtly adjusting her posture to appear more fragile, she lowered her head slightly, revealing a delicate, smooth patch of skin on her neck. The snow-white skin, half-hidden under her dark red robe, was tantalizingly alluring. The system suddenly chimed in, “Wow, Host, she’s using her charms on you!” Jiang Lin ignored the system’s nonsense and the alluring beauty before him. Instead, he asked, “Why should I save you?” Huaiyin responded softly, “If you save me, this body of mine will belong to you⦔ “I’m not interested in your body,” Jiang Lin replied, dismissing her offer. Then, seeing the shocked expression on her face, he added bluntly, “But I am quite interested in your tree form.” Huaiyin: “?” Jiang Lin said, “Heart Demon Oath, Blood Oath, or Master-Servant Contractāchoose one.” Huaiyin was so shaken by his cold and ruthless words that she spat out another mouthful of blood. She coughed a few times, looking at Jiang Lin with a sense of humiliation. “Does the gentleman have no pity for a beautiful woman? Am I not beautiful enough?” Jiang Lin thought for a moment and replied, “No, you’re quite beautiful, but I’m just not interested.” Seeing that Huaiyin looked like she might spit blood again, he couldn’t help but urge her, “You should decide quickly. The way you look, who knows when you might not be able to hold on any longer.” Huaiyin: “⦔ She silently swallowed the blood in her throat, knowing full well that Jiang Lin was right. Even if she took a blood oath, she would be bound to him, but if she didn’t, she would probably lose her life today. Gritting her teeth, she said, “I swear!” Jiang Lin returned to Black Mountain from Lanruo Temple, feeling very pleased. In the Jadeite Space, by the edge of the blue lake, there was now a somewhat listless locust tree. After Huaiyin swore her loyalty to Jiang Lin, whether she liked it or not, it became impossible for her to betray him. When Jiang Lin revealed the power of the Jadeite Space, and she sensed the abundant and pure wood-based spiritual energy within, she didn’t hesitate to sell herself to Jiang Lin again, signing a spirit plant contractāafter all, she’d already sold herself once, so doing it again wasn’t a big deal. Moreover, compared to the first blood oath, she gained a lot more from the second contract. Her initially grievous injuries healed significantly the moment she signed the spirit plant contract. And within the Jadeite Space, what would have taken her more than half a year to recover from was nearly healed within half a month. Once Huaiyin’s injuries were almost fully healed, Jiang Lin summoned her, stating that since she had recovered, it was time to get down to business. After witnessing the mysterious Jadeite Space, Huaiyin became even more convinced of Jiang Lin’s unfathomable power, and she abandoned many of her previous schemes. She waited respectfully for Jiang Lin’s instructions. Jiang Lin’s first order was for Huaiyin to bring all the female demons and ghosts under her command over to him. At this point, Huaiyin didn’t find anything amiss. She had already pledged herself to Jiang Lin, so naturally, her former subordinates should recognize Jiang Lin as their master too. Soon, dozens of her enchanting followers from Lanruo Temple were brought to Black Mountain. Jiang Lin finally met the legendary Nie Xiaoqian. She was indeed a great beauty, with a cold and ethereal demeanor. However, in Jiang Lin’s straightforward aesthetic, he thought all these beauties looked quite similarājust pretty faces. Then he had all these beautiful women line up and tell him what they were good at. The women were all puzzled, but they obediently introduced themselves in soft voices. One said she was skilled in playing the zither, another mentioned her talent in painting, and yet another spoke of her ability to make incense⦠None of them had any practical skills. The most absurd was the one who claimed she was skilled in the art of the bedroom. Jiang Lin listened with a frown, his aura growing increasingly heavy.
