Ch 259: Guide to Running a Shop in Another World

The first time Lu Yao saw Zhou Yishan was during tutoring for Du Qiuling. In the memories of Du Qiuling’s uncle, there had been a female patient with whom he had shared a brief, intimate relationship.

That female patient should have been a young Zhou Yishan.

Over the span of more than ten years, her appearance had undergone subtle changes, and coupled with her different style of dress and behavior, Lu Yao initially only found her familiar and couldn’t recall where she had seen her before.

Another point that puzzled her was that Zhou Yishan might have changed her name.

Ten years ago, when she met Du Qiuling’s uncle, she did not go by that name.

This made Lu Yao unsure, as the materials used for the spiritual key at that time did not come directly from Du Qiuling’s uncle but rather from the environment in which he had lived.

The data was real and accurate, but the perspective was relatively unclear.

The next morning, Lu Yao remembered seeing a researcher in the memory of No. 52 who looked very much like Zhou Yishan. At that time, they were busy looking for someone and had only glanced at their surroundings.

However, since Lu Yao wasn’t familiar with No. 52’s parents, she always took a second look when she met someone.

She had indeed seen a researcher resembling Zhou Yishan.

Unfortunately, during the last tutoring session, she didn’t extract a bone, so she had no data on Zhou Yishan.

An uneasy feeling gnawed at Lu Yao, as if something unresolved was stuck in her mind.

When she arrived at the store in the morning, Lu Yao called to contact No. 52.

The research institute responded that No. 52 was participating in an important medication trial and was unavailable to meet anyone.

Lu Yao then turned to contact Du Qiuling, but the call went unanswered.

Xie Molin couldn’t use his superpowers to read Lu Yao’s mood, but from his work experience, he could tell that the shopkeeper was not in a good state, debating whether or not to ask.

Sitting across from her, Xu Xiaoxiao spoke up first: “Shopkeeper, you’ve been busy all morning. Did something happen?”

The store’s staff and experimental subject customers were having breakfast together, and at Xu Xiaoxiao’s words, seven or eight pairs of eyes turned to look at Lu Yao.

Lu Yao said casually, “I found one of the guests who came in yesterday familiar and kept thinking I’d seen her somewhere before.”

Xie Molin asked, “Did you remember?”

Lu Yao nodded, “Yes. She only appeared for short moments, and even then, only in other people’s memories. I’m not entirely sure if she’s that person, so I’ve been trying all morning to contact former clients connected to her, but I haven’t reached anyone.”

Xie Molin seemed to catch on, “Did you try contacting Senior Du?”

Lu Yao nodded, “It’s not urgent. After breakfast, Budu and I will head out for a while.”

The biggest mistake yesterday had been not extracting a bone from Zhou Yishan, leaving no leads for further investigation.

Lu Yao planned to visit the address Zhou Yishan had left in person that morning. She had already called, but no one had answered.

While having breakfast, Bai Yi habitually checked the store’s phone for news from Sanhua City.

She suddenly pushed the phone in front of Lu Yao: “Shopkeeper, isn’t this the guest who came to our store yesterday?”

A deceased person?

Everyone was shocked.

Lu Yao, however, felt a strange sense of “it finally happened.”

“Where did you see that?” Hu Jiao opened her phone, ready to search.

Bai Yi: “Morning news.”

Xie Molin, Xu Xiaoxiao, and a few experimental subjects all took out their phones and began searching. Lu Yao looked down at the report in front of her.

In summary, Zhou Yishan was found by her family at 4 a.m. today in a hotel bathroom after ingesting poison. She was rushed to the hospital but couldn’t be saved.

Zhou Yishan’s mother, Huang Ronghua, told reporters that two days prior, Zhou Yishan had attended a tutoring session at the Childhood Tutoring Center on 66 Sanhua Road in Sanhua City, and after the session ended, her mood had been very low.

She thought her daughter was just struggling to calm down emotionally and never expected that she would do something so foolish.

Regarding Zhou Yishan’s tutoring at the Childhood Tutoring Center, Huang Ronghua claimed it was all a scam. She said that the center’s owner was a non-powered individual, and the so-called time machine was a fraud.

This news, released at six in the morning, had already risen to the top of Popo’s homepage, with hundreds of thousands of comments.

【Is there really such a thing as a non-powered individual in this era? Aren’t they basically useless?】

【There’s no way the owner is non-powered. The time machine, flying devices, bubble water, snacks… all the special products at the tutoring center rely on the shopkeeper’s abilities.】

【I’ve attended tutoring at the Childhood Tutoring Center too. Honestly, it’s impossible for Lu Yao to be non-powered; the existence of the time machine alone is proof of her extraordinary abilities.】

【But what about Zhou’s death?】

【Just because she went to the Childhood Tutoring Center doesn’t mean her death is related to it, okay? If you’re going to argue like that, then shouldn’t the hotel be even more suspicious, since that’s where she was found dead?】

【Is it just me, or does it seem like the shopkeeper is already getting involved? Why are so many comments defending her?】

Initially, many former guests of the tutoring center voiced their support online, but their comments were quickly drowned out by a flood of angry netizens.

The internet was full of criticism and calls for action, with people in chat groups rallying to confront the Childhood Tutoring Center in person.

Using Zhou Yishan’s death as a spark, the discussion began to spiral away from rational debate. Lu Yao’s abilities and her capability rating became the focal point, with growing speculation about whether the shopkeeper was truly non-powered.

If the shopkeeper was non-powered, then the Childhood Tutoring Center, with its claims centered around the time machine, would be the greatest scam of the era.

Xu Xiaoxiao ran into the tutoring room, her face pale with panic. “Shopkeeper, there’s a group outside trying to smash up the store. They can’t break the glass and are starting to harass the customers.”

Budu reacted faster than Lu Yao. Hearing that someone was trying to vandalize the store, he rushed out holding a blood-stained broad blade.

Lu Yao stood up and followed, calling out, “Budu, don’t be impulsive.”

Two groups stood at the entrance of the Childhood Tutoring Center. On the left was a group of nearly twenty people with hostile expressions.

They had already unleashed a wave of attacks against the storefront. Despite being just glass, firearms, fire, water blades, and even lasers had failed to make a dent—the thin layer of glass remained unmoved.

Left with no choice, the group began harassing the customers, only to run into the group on the right.

On the right stood three young men. One of them carried a camera, aiming it at the other two.

The store-exploring blogger, Zhang Xiaobai, was a local from Sanhua City. His career had recently hit a bottleneck as he struggled to find suitable, trending topics, and it was driving him to despair.

He saw the news about Zhou Yishan that morning and initially didn’t think much of it. But as it gained traction, he realized it was trending, and being in Sanhua City with a friend who had unique abilities, he decided to seize the opportunity for some publicity.

He contacted his friend, grabbed a cameraman, and headed straight for the Childhood Tutoring Center to start a “debunking live stream.”

The group on the left had planned to continue their attack, but after negotiating with Zhang Xiaobai, they decided to wait and see if the shopkeeper would give the blogger any face.

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before a child wielding a strange weapon burst out of the store, followed by a girl wearing exaggerated earrings.

From photos shared online, the girl with a lotus earring was identified as the shopkeeper.

Zhang Xiaobai approached and introduced himself. “Hello, I’m Zhang Xiaobai, a store-exploring blogger.”

Lu Yao stopped Budu and was about to head back inside.

This situation was more complicated than she had expected. In a world full of superpowered individuals, continuing to run the store was becoming dangerous. She had initially planned to close the store for a few days and handle things privately.

Now it seemed getting away wouldn’t be easy. She stayed to listen to what Zhang Xiaobai had to say.

Zhang Xiaobai’s live stream had started, and as soon as Lu Yao appeared, the chat exploded.

【Xiaobai, you’re amazing! You caught the shopkeeper!】

【Get your friend to check if she’s really a superpowered individual!】

【I’ve sent ten big orange cat gifts—Xiaobai, go ahead and debunk her!】

Zhang Xiaobai gave a brief explanation and, without waiting for Lu Yao’s response, called his friend forward for the test.

Zhang Xiaobai’s friend, nicknamed A-Xu, was a professional ability tester.

A-Xu carefully put on gloves, opened a black leather case he carried, and took out a black testing gun. He aimed it at Lu Yao’s forehead, but the first test shot was slashed apart by Budu’s blade.

Zhang Xiaobai grew even more excited. “Shopkeeper, you must have seen the morning news, right? There’s been a lot of speculation online about your abilities, and people have been arguing nonstop.

“Considering you run a business, these rumors are all bad for you. Plus, with what happened to Zhou, you’ll probably need to cooperate with an investigation later on. Why not let us help clear things up for everyone now?

“A simple test will show if you’re a superpowered individual, and then people can set their doubts aside.”

A-Xu chimed in, “The testing gun I brought is the latest model. One shot will show your ability type and growth curve.”

Lu Yao gently pushed Budu aside and walked forward with a smile. “I don’t mind letting you test me, but are you sure you’ll be able to detect my ability level?”

Zhang Xiaobai’s smile widened, triumphant. “Don’t worry. This gun can definitely give an accurate reading of your ability level.”

Lu Yao opened her hand, gesturing to Zhang Xiaobai to go ahead.

The system suddenly interjected: “What are you doing? You don’t have any superpowers; how could anything show up?”

Lu Yao replied, “I can still use magic, right? Wouldn’t that register as magic energy? And if not, there’s always illusionary magic.”

“…Those powers might work in another world, but they don’t belong to this world’s system. There’s no way the testing gun will pick them up.”

“Ambrose knew there was danger the first time he saw the bone of the demon god. The people of this world are too obsessed with superpowers, making them narrow-minded and overly volatile.”

“Whatever you do, you can’t let him test you. If he finds out you’re a non-powered individual, it’s over.”

“Don’t worry. This is a small issue.”

“…”

A-Xu raised the testing gun and aimed it at Lu Yao again.

Lin Xue, Xie Molin, Hu Jiao, and other staff members and experimental subjects stood at the door, looking worried.

The test shot hit Lu Yao, and the camera turned to the display on the testing gun.

“Beep beep beep—”

After an ear-piercing alert, the display read “No test target found” in large characters.

The viewership in Zhang Xiaobai’s live stream skyrocketed from hundreds of thousands to millions, and the number continued to rise. The comment section was a chaotic mess.

【Wow, she really is a non-powered individual!!!】

【This shopkeeper has harmed many!】

【But what about the time machine? I really did use it to travel to the past.】

【Two possibilities: either the shopkeeper is non-powered, and the time machine is a hoax, and you were all deceived; or the shopkeeper is non-powered, but the time machine is real and might have come from somewhere else, making the tutoring real.】

【This is a huge scandal! The downfall is real!】

【No!!! I can’t accept it! I really like the shopkeeper!】

At the entrance of the tutoring center, Lin Xue’s face was filled with complex emotions. If the shopkeeper was truly a non-powered individual, had they all been deceived?

Zhang Xiaobai glanced at the soaring viewership but didn’t bother looking at the comments. He directly pressed, “Shopkeeper, do you have any explanation for this result?”

Everyone present turned their eyes to Lu Yao. Over a million viewers online were watching her, eager to see how she would defend herself.

Lu Yao shrugged nonchalantly. “Clearly, your gun is faulty.”

【Full of lies, someone shut her up already!】

【I can’t stand it anymore; this woman is shameless!】

【Is that it? I thought she had something clever to say, but it’s just blatant denial?】

Not only were the people on-site furious, but viewers of the livestream were enraged, spewing insults like a storm. Unfortunately, Lu Yao and the others had no time to check their phones.

At the scene, some hot-tempered individuals chose to act, but all their attacks were blocked by Budu.

Someone asked, “Who is that kid?”

Another answered, “The kid’s name is Lu Budu; apparently, he’s the shopkeeper’s child.”

Someone laughed, “A non-powered person having such a powerful superpowered child? Maybe the kid was stolen.”

“Move aside, Security Bureau investigation!”

Someone shouted from the crowd, and a team of security officers with special equipment cut through the onlookers, surrounding Lu Yao and Budu.

The lead officer surveyed the scene and looked at Lu Yao. “Come with us.”

Lu Yao, wanting to investigate Zhou Yishan’s case, cooperated willingly.

But Budu didn’t want her to be taken alone, so he was brought along as well.

Moreover, the security officers took the prototype of Alfred from the tutoring center.

All the staff of the tutoring center were restrained by security officers and were unable to resist.

Once in the car, Lu Yao noticed that they weren’t heading to the Security Bureau but towards the research institute.

One of the officers explained that before they could proceed with the investigation, they needed to obtain Lu Yao’s ability test report, so they were going to the Supernatural Research Institute first.

At the same time, the Supernatural Research Institute in Sanhua City started an official livestream.

The livestream focused on the superpower test of Lu Yao, the owner of the Childhood Tutoring Center.

Researchers at the Sanhua City Supernatural Research Institute began investigating Lu Yao’s abilities after reading news reports about Zhou Yishan’s incident. They found that no schools or superpower research institutes in the country had any records of her or her ability ratings, so they contacted the Security Bureau to bring her in.

The research institute wanted Lu Yao’s physical data, and the Security Bureau wanted to make her a public example to warn other citizens. The two sides coordinated, leading to this livestream.

Viewers from Zhang Xiaobai’s livestream rushed en masse to the official livestream of the Supernatural Research Institute when they heard the news.

Lu Yao and Budu got out of the car at the entrance to the Supernatural Research Institute, receiving a grand welcome from all the researchers.

At the front of the welcoming team were three people, two older and one younger—An Yan.

Lu Yao noticed that, except for An Yan, the others looked at her with a glint in their eyes, as if the carefully constructed cage was about to close its final lock.

Budu stepped out of the car behind Lu Yao, and the crowd’s sharp, observing gazes turned puzzled. They looked between Lu Yao and Budu, then back at An Yan.

Zheng Siyao, the host of the official livestream, avoided meeting Lu Yao’s eyes and instead glanced at the comments section.

【Is it just me, or does the shopkeeper’s kid look exactly like the handsome researcher over there?】

【Not exactly, but the facial features do resemble the mother, while the eyes and hair are quite similar to that researcher.】

【So, what’s going on here?】

Meanwhile, Lu Yao began changing clothes.

She was handed an experiment suit like those worn by test subjects. Wearing the test subject suit itself wasn’t an issue, but the fact that it was designed to be hollow inside and was being broadcast live to the entire network was excessive.

Lu Yao tried to negotiate with the staff, asking for at least a more decent outfit for the livestream.

The impatient researchers outside replied, “All test subjects wear this in the institute for convenience during various tests and examinations. Miss Lu, please cooperate.”

Lu Yao: “… Since when did I become a test subject? I’m just here to cooperate with the Security Bureau’s investigation, not to be treated like a test subject. Isn’t this going too far?”

The dressing room wasn’t live-streamed, and the researcher made no effort to hide his disdain, saying, “If you really are a non-powered individual, you’ll be drowned in public scorn as soon as you step outside. If you’re not, it’s unlikely you’ll ever leave the institute again. Once you’re in here, the rules are different. Stop being difficult—if you cooperate, life might be easier for you.”

The system couldn’t help but interject: “Can you tolerate this?”

Usually, the system and the shopkeeper would bicker like an old married couple, each tired of the other. But seeing these lowlifes giving her attitude made it seethe with irritation.

The golden ribbon tied around Lu Yao’s wrist seemed almost sentient, gently tickling the soft skin on the inside of her wrist. She lightly stroked the ribbon, calming herself down.

“It’s fine. Let’s see what they’re planning.”

Fula’s ribbon automatically bestowed a layer of blessing on Lu Yao. Even in the thin test suit, there would be no accidental exposure.

Still, Lu Yao didn’t feel great. She might have avoided disgrace herself, but those test subjects in the institute led lives devoid of privacy and dignity.

Lu Yao walked out of the dressing room, and a staff member, seeing her in the blue test suit, nodded with slight satisfaction before scanning her up and down. Suddenly, his expression turned sour. “All accessories on your body and hands need to be removed. What’s this?”

Lu Yao raised her left hand, showing the golden ribbon tied into a delicate bow, its vibrant colors seeming to glow faintly.

“Sorry, it’s a token of blessing from the goddess Fula, and I can’t take it off,” Lu Yao said innocently.

By then, the camera had already panned over, and the livestream audience heard her words, immediately erupting in mockery.

【This shopkeeper is really out of her mind…】

【A goddess named Fula? Someone’s read too many fantasy novels, lol.】

【This is just the lowest kind of con artist. Further testing is a waste of time. Let’s move on to the next procedure already.】

【Begging for a livestream of the Security Bureau’s interrogation process!!!】

The staff member reached out with a stern face, trying to forcibly remove the ribbon from Lu Yao’s wrist.

However, after one minute, two minutes, three minutes, he stopped, panting, glaring at the golden ribbon with frustration.

Lu Yao gently shook her wrist. “If we’re going to run tests, let’s do it quickly. If I’m late getting back, there could be problems.”

The staff member paid no attention to Lu Yao’s words, but realizing he couldn’t remove the ribbon, he let her keep it on and impatiently pushed her out of the changing room.

Outside, both An Yan and Budu turned their heads, and the camera happened to catch this moment.

【Is there something going on between this researcher and the con artist shopkeeper?】

【The child standing next to him really does look more like him now.】

Lu Yao glanced at An Yan, then looked down at Budu, squatting in front of him. “You’ve been waiting for a while, huh? Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious. After the tests, we’ll go home.”

Budu’s large, gem-like eyes, as red as fine pigeon-blood rubies, looked unwaveringly at Lu Yao, and he nodded silently.

Lu Yao sensed that Budu was a bit tense, but there was no time to dwell on it as the researchers behind her began to urge her forward.

Zheng Siyao, the host for the livestream, avoided eye contact with Lu Yao throughout, standing at a distance, waiting for her to approach.

Budu’s brow furrowed deeply, the red in his eyes growing more vivid.

At some point, An Yan moved to stand beside him.

Budu glanced up, but An Yan didn’t look at him; his gaze was fixed on Lu Yao.

Budu pressed his lips together, the creases on his brow deepening further as he tried to suppress the rising agitation.

In front of this person, Budu did not want to lose.

Lu Yao cooperated fully, going through basic physical tests, blood sampling, superpower assessments, and ability level checks.

The research institute’s testing system was far more intricate than what Zhang Xiaobai’s friend had, but after the long and tedious procedures, the results from the Superpower Research Institute were the same as Zhang Xiaobai’s.

Lu Yao was indeed a non-powered individual.

After the long wait, the audience wasn’t surprised by the result. Instead, it felt like they had obtained a more authoritative weapon to attack the shopkeeper without restraint.

【Confirmed, she’s a worthless nobody!】

【Hilarious, a powerless fraud duped so many people, and the victims are still speaking up for her.】

“Say what you will, this woman’s mental fortitude is impressive; even now, she shows no sign of wavering.”

Zheng Siyao glanced at her private phone, where the rapidly scrolling comments on the message board made her feel deeply uncomfortable.

She actually believed in Lu Yao.

Even if the shopkeeper really was a non-powered individual, every tutoring plan Lu Yao had made for her, the many years they spent together during tutoring, and every gift from Alfred were all things she remembered clearly.

After her tutoring sessions, her bad habit of uncontrolled spending had genuinely improved, and the change was significant.

The front and back entrances of the research institute, along with the underground garage, were occupied by angry citizens looking for an outlet for their frustration.

Fearing a mishap, the research institute and Security Bureau arranged for a helicopter to take Lu Yao from the rooftop of the institute directly to the Security Bureau.

Lu Yao stood in the middle of the rooftop, surrounded by a circle of security officers and researchers on the outer perimeter.

Now that her physical data and test reports were out, the researchers’ gaze shifted from seeing her as a valuable asset to worthless scrap metal, their disappointment practically palpable as it bore down on her.

Budu was kept outside the crowd, standing next to An Yan.

The large and small pair fixed their eyes past the crowd, staring unwaveringly at Lu Yao with a pitifully tense atmosphere.

A few female researchers at the back whispered among themselves.

“Isn’t that kid Professor An’s child? He looks exactly like him.”

“It’s my first time seeing the aloof Professor An so distraught. Was it a case of ‘father abandoned, child kept’?”

“Anyone would be devastated if the person they liked turned out to be a fraud.”

“I really want to comfort him.”

“I sneaked a peek at Lu Yao’s health report earlier. It looks like she’s never been married and hasn’t had any kids.”

!!!

The implications were staggering.

Had this detail not been made public because it wasn’t relevant?

After cooperating with the research institute for a full day, Lu Yao felt she’d had enough.

She wasn’t interested in going to the Security Bureau for another round of interrogation. She reached into her portable storage and pulled out a dragon-scale hair clip, securing it in her hair and gently brushing the shimmering scales.

The security officer facing her looked incredulous. “Where did you get that?”

Lu Yao ignored him and, for the first time, lifted her head to face the livestream camera, her expression detached and calm.

“Zhou Yishan, I bet you’re watching this. I’m sure you’re observing everything that’s happening from somewhere. I don’t know what you or your people hope to gain from this, but whatever plans you have, it would be best to stop them now.”

Those standing around Lu Yao thought she had completely lost her mind, and the livestream viewers were similarly bewildered and dismissive.

【Isn’t Zhou Yishan dead? What is she talking about?】

【She’s run out of options and is now playing the lunatic.】

【This woman is insane!】

In an apartment in the suburbs, the supposedly deceased Zhou Yishan sat on the balcony, an instrument beside her and the research institute’s livestream playing on the screen.

Her smirk was suddenly wiped off her face, replaced by an expression of terror and panic.

On the screen, the previously empty sky was torn apart by a massive claw, and a colossal black creature slowly emerged from the rift.

Its deep blue eyes had narrow, black slits that darted around as if searching for something.

What felt like only a few seconds but stretched into an eternity passed before the monstrous creature fully crawled out of the dark fissure.

Its body was covered in scales, with huge, powerful claws, an elongated, thick tail, and wings that, when spread, blotted out the sky, emitting an aura of fear unbearable to ordinary people.

Is this a dragon or a person?

Zhou Yishan collapsed in her chair as the comment section on the screen scrolled rapidly.

【Is that a dragon?】

【Ancient-type superpower, maybe?】

【Nonsense. I’ve never seen an ancient-type ability user with such detailed features. That’s definitely a monster!】

The black dragon hovered in the sky for a few seconds before finding its target.

With a powerful beat of its wings, it suspended itself over the Supernatural Research Institute and spoke in a deep, resonant voice: “Lu Yao, I’m here to take you home.”

The security officers and researchers on the rooftop were blown to the ground by the wind from the dragon’s wings, and the cameras captured only the staff clinging to the ground in disarray.

Harold set one foot lightly on the railing, and in the next moment, half of the building crumbled away, collapsing mid-air and sending people below into a panic as they fled.

But after a while, the falling debris did not hit the ground.

Instead, on the remaining half of the rooftop, the security officers, researchers, and the livestream crew all stared at the girl standing on the back of the dragon.

Lu Yao, holding a magic wand, quickly drew a light magic array that halted the falling debris.

Seconds later, the collapsed stones began to rise as if in reverse motion, slowly returning to their original positions.

Everyone on the ground and the rooftop gazed up. For one moment, the millions watching the livestream were as silent as a grave, no one speaking, everyone frozen like statues.

Lu Yao sat on Harold’s back, looking at the rooftop from afar, and silently cast an amplification spell.

Her voice came through clearly from the back of the dragon: “Perhaps I never said this, but your testing instruments have a limit too low to measure my abilities. I did mention this before, but you refused to listen.

“You’ve become so infatuated with what you call the genetic miracle of superpowers, lost in your own perceived uniqueness, that you ignore everything else.

“Just like humanity’s excessive worship of money, power, beauty, and strength throughout history—mindless. Many people unknowingly become slaves to desire and revel in it.

“If one day you learned the secret behind the emergence of superpowers, would this feverish obsession subside a bit?”

Lu Yao paused, deciding not to elaborate further. She raised her voice to call out to Budu, who was still on the rooftop: “Come on, kiddo, we’re going home.”

Budu glanced at An Yan, then leaped from dozens of meters away directly onto the dragon’s back.

Lu Yao caught Budu and, before leaving, shouted again, “Alfred, what are you waiting for? Time to go home.”

With a swoosh, the newly restored rooftop of the research institute had another hole punched through it as a super-miniature black dragon, carrying a tiny silver ball on its back, flapped its wings with all its might and rushed after them.

The great dragon beat its vast wings and flew away without a backward glance.

For a moment, both the online world and reality plunged into unprecedented chaos.

And terms like “Childhood Tutoring Center,” “Shopkeeper,” “Lu Yao,” “Dragon,” and “Time Machine” quickly became trending keywords across the entire network.

As Lu Yao held Budu, with Alfred playfully standing on her lap, she was on her way back to the tutoring center when she suddenly received a task notification.

【Congratulations on successfully turning the Childhood Tutoring Center into a landmark of Sanhua City within the time limit. Task completed! Reward: 100,000 popularity points, 50 awakening points!】

She never expected to complete the task in such a dramatic way.

The system popped up, unable to stay silent: “You liar, you definitely planned to use those ill-intentioned troublemakers to boost your fame and finish the task. But going so flashy isn’t your usual style.”

Lu Yao: “What’s my usual style?”

“Aren’t you going to deny it, at least?”

Thingyan: Damn so satisfying 😃😃😃😃
