Ch 173 (end): The World’s Number One Resort

Selecting the venue, setting up the scene, and inviting the guests.

Over the following week, Great Tang signed a contract with Amanda. After repeated inspections, Amanda’s team designed two wedding plans. The first was an underwater wedding with a mermaid theme, and the second, a solemn ceremony in the Sky Palace.

After careful consideration, Amanda chose the Sky Palace.

The two had fallen in love in the Sky Forest, and the Sky Palace carried a more romantic feel. Now that the wedding theme was decided, all that remained was to set up the venue.

There were still about half a month left before the end of the global conference. The daily number of visitors to Great Tang had surpassed 1.2 million. Besides regular tourism, there were also many couples taking wedding photos.

Amanda’s wedding wasn’t an unusual occurrence.

While Amanda and Nasser planned their wedding happily, Tang Huai took a stroll around the town and then headed to the Island Master’s courtyard.

The courtyard was located on the south side of Sora Island. In front of it was a row of dark-colored reefs, with the vast Pacific Ocean stretching out below them. Tang Huai stood on the rocks, gazing into the distance.

The sea was calm at the moment, with no sign of Yu You or Da Zhuang.

Two months ago, a tourist had spotted a whale shark near the ancient city, which Tang Huai thought might be Da Zhuang. However, upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a fully grown whale shark, not Da Zhuang.

Da Zhuang had once been the ruler around Sora Island. Now, after being away for five months, its territory had been taken over.

Who knows how Da Zhuang would react upon its return?

Although they hadn’t interacted much, Tang Huai had a feeling that Da Zhuang was a rather petty whale shark…

“Ring, ring—” While Tang Huai was enjoying the breeze, the video call notification in his pocket went off.

Caller: Alang.

Tang Huai clicked to answer.

“Awwooo—” The moment the call connected, the howling of Da Huang came through.

Currently, Da Huang and Alang were wandering around Somalia. The man and his dog were constantly up to something mysterious. Tang Huai was quite suspicious of Alang’s activities, but after consulting Chris, he found out that Alang’s actions in Somalia complied with system regulations. After some initial doubt, Tang Huai decided not to pay further attention.

“This is an arctic fox Da Huang hunted. We’re preparing to cage it and should be able to send it to Great Tang within a week.” Da Huang behaved obediently in front of the camera. Then, Alang pointed to a one-meter-square cage as the screen shifted.

Only then did Tang Huai notice that the area around Da Huang was covered in snow—it was obviously not Somalia.

Three minutes later, Tang Huai understood the whole story. Da Huang and Alang had gotten bored of Somalia, so they sailed to Finland. The arctic fox was hunted by Da Huang in the deep forests of Finland. It was so excited that it circled around Alang, signaling him to send it back to Tang Huai.

Da Huang wanted to show off its achievements.

“Impressive!” Tang Huai was genuinely pleased. Since leaving, Da Huang had been away for more than five months. Tang Huai had thought that Da Huang might have forgotten about Great Tang after finding a new playmate, but it clearly remembered everything.

It truly was a cub raised by him!

“Awooo!” Da Huang howled excitedly after hearing Tang Huai’s praise.

Now, with the [Encyclopedia of Species] in use, animals like the arctic fox, red fox, and blue fox had become a beautiful part of Great Tang’s landscape. Although there was no need to import foreign arctic foxes, this was Da Huang’s heartfelt gesture, so Tang Huai didn’t refuse.

Tang Huai chatted with Alang for a bit before ending the call.

Time passed slowly, and the task progress increased from 92% to 95%. Completing the task was within sight.

In the days that followed, besides wrapping up the global conference, world-class film companies like Universal Pictures and Starlight Productions also visited Great Tang. Since the explosive success of Great Tang’s VR cinema, Magic Workshop had raked in massive profits. Due to the two-month contract restriction, other film companies were envious but could do nothing.

Now that the contract between Great Tang and Magic Workshop had ended, many started scheming for opportunities.

In addition to Universal and Starlight, film companies from China’s Yida Films to India’s Bollywood also visited Great Tang. After a week of negotiations, Great Tang reached cooperation agreements with the world’s film companies, signaling the start of a global cinematic revolution.

Great Tang continued to develop in an orderly manner.

After half a month of preparation, Amanda and Nasser’s wedding was finally ready. The ceremony was set to take place in the Sky Castle. After receiving the Queen’s blessing, the couple would proceed to the sky bungee jump. They planned a “leap of joy” in front of the media and fans, recreating the thrill of their jump a year ago.

Amanda and Nasser’s wedding was scheduled for the last day of the global conference, serving as a small surprise at the event’s closing.

“Amanda and Nasser… How wonderful.”

“The goddess is getting married, so heart-wrenching. Is this the rhythm of marrying into a wealthy family?”

“Amanda herself is already part of a wealthy family. Speaking of marrying into wealth… who could possibly win over Boss Tang? Now that’s a true legendary tycoon!”

“Boss Tang? At least Amanda’s level, right?”

“Praying for the Island Master Tang to make a choice!”

Amanda and Nasser’s wedding was extravagant, and as the big day approached, online jokes about the couple grew more frequent. However, the discussion soon shifted toward Tang Huai.

Tang Huai was young, handsome, and had a gentle personality. Combined with his billions in assets, he was the absolute ideal lover.

The topic of “Tang Huai’s Ideal Type” became a hot trend, and tourists began digging into his romantic history.

No lovers, no scandals, no paparazzi photos…

Over the past three years, Tang Huai’s romantic history was as blank as could be. Even “Hong Kong Weekly” and “Entertainment Daily” couldn’t uncover any romantic connections.

It seemed that Tang Huai’s life revolved solely around building the island and work.

He was the quintessential workaholic.

“My goodness, it’s the real-life version of a domineering CEO!”

With his lack of a love life revealed, countless celebrities and socialites began to take an interest in Tang Huai. He was part of a new elite class and had quickly established himself at the top of the world. Great Tang had immense growth potential, and with Tang Huai’s youth, his future was limitless!

Thus, many celebrities and socialites came to Great Tang under the pretense of attending Amanda’s wedding. Among them were both men and women, and their ultimate goal was to win Tang Huai’s heart.

In late May, Great Tang’s popularity reached unprecedented heights. The island was teeming with supermodels every five steps and celebrities every ten. It was now akin to a global Oscars event. Tourists and fans felt as though they were in a dreamland—there was great food, fun activities, and even beloved stars. Being a visitor in Great Tang was truly a blessing!

Amidst all this lively excitement, May 30th arrived unexpectedly.

“Today, under the gaze of the goddess of love, we gather here…” In the Sky Castle, witnessed by various celebrities and journalists, the officiant recited the vows as Amanda and Nasser gazed deeply into each other’s eyes.

Amanda was dressed in a silver-white, diamond-studded wedding gown, custom-made by a renowned Italian designer. The handmade gown alone cost five million dollars, and in the silver dress, Amanda looked like a majestic and pristine swan.

As the officiant finished reciting the vows, Nasser knelt on one knee, slipped the ring onto Amanda’s finger, and the two embraced passionately. Following this, a grand pumpkin carriage made its entrance, surrounded by upright Sky Soldiers. With graceful background music playing, Amanda, under the guidance of the Sky Queen, sat in the carriage.

Amidst the blessings of their guests, the carriage headed to the Sky Bungee. They planned to complete their romantic leap there.

Currently, Great Tang was buzzing with excitement, and the Sky Bungee, along with Swing in the Wind, and Thrilling Racing, was rated as one of the three most thrilling activities on the island.

Sky Bungee was a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts, known for its excitement and daring nature. However, Amanda’s elegance and Nasser’s gentlemanly demeanor lent the Sky Bungee a sense of calm and steadiness, dispelling any fear.

The couple put on their sky safety harnesses.

Amanda’s specially designed wedding gown ensured that there was no worry about any wardrobe malfunctions.

The clicking of cameras intensified. With the global conference coming to an end, Amanda’s wedding was making a huge splash. At this moment, countless tourists stood on Sky Island, eagerly awaiting the couple’s romantic leap.

Ten helicopters were already circling Sky Island, carrying filming equipment and both families. With the crowd of tourists, the bungee jumping site was even more bustling than Sky Castle.

“My princess.” Amid the attention of everyone present, Nasser and Amanda held hands and jumped without hesitation. The breeze brushed past, and against the backdrop of Sky Forest and the blue sky, their jump was nothing short of beautiful.

It mirrored the scene from last year when the two had first jumped together. However, back then, they had just started dating, while today they were stepping into the wedding hall.

Click, click—

“Wow!”

At the moment they leaped, the sound of camera shutters and cheers rose from below. Despite Amanda’s controversial reputation, this solemn and sacred moment garnered everyone’s blessings, moved by the atmosphere surrounding them.

Nasser spared no expense, distributing candy bags, chocolates, and other gifts through his staff after the wedding. The tourists were thrilled, and the celebration lasted until seven in the evening, with both hosts and guests enjoying themselves.

With the conclusion of Amanda and Nasser’s wedding, the Global Summit also came to an end.

“Another year has passed.” At nine in the evening, Tang Huai finished his work and looked out the window.

Tang Huai had taken over Sora Island in July three years ago. Now, another year was about to pass, marking the beginning of the fourth year.

Thud, thud, thud—

Tang Huai gazed at the seascape for a while when a light thudding sound came from the coast.

Thud, thud— Under the crescent moon, Tang Huai listened more closely; it was indeed a thudding sound.

Sora Town was lively, but because of the remote location, the office area of Sora Island remained relatively quiet. After some thought, Tang Huai put on a coat and walked toward the coast.

The cool sea breeze brushed by as Tang Huai squatted down to observe. There were three crabs scuttling sideways on the beach, and some fish jumped in the water, but otherwise, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

“Must’ve misheard…”

Splash, thud—

Just as Tang Huai dismissed it as a mishearing, wave after wave surged in. In addition to the waves, there were some dark gray creatures moving in the water.

Water columns shot up from the sea, revealing that these creatures were whale sharks. Nearly a hundred of them swam in formation as if trained, even their spouting was rhythmically synchronized.

Besides the whale sharks, some glowing fish swam around in the surrounding waters. With the moonlight glistening, the ocean scene was beautifully speckled with light.

The transformation of the scene happened so suddenly that Tang Huai froze for a moment. Then, sensing something, he turned around.

Behind him stood a tall, slender man. He was dressed in a perfectly fitted casual suit, exuding an air of elegance, his gaze fixed intently on Tang Huai.

It was Yu You.

“A five-thousand-year-old deep-sea pearl; it took me quite a while to find it.” Noticing Tang Huai’s gaze, Yu You spread his hands.

Tang Huai then saw a black pearl in his hand. Unlike the delicate and intricate pearls he had seen before, this one was the size of a fist, perfectly round and exceptionally lustrous.

Tang Huai knew little about pearls, but even from an outsider’s perspective, this pearl was no ordinary gem.

“It took three months, but this one is the most perfect,” Yu You said proudly as he walked over, placing the pearl in Tang Huai’s hand.

His tone was filled with pride; by Earth’s standards, this pearl was worth over ten billion dollars—a priceless treasure.

Tang Huai held the pearl, feeling its cool, smooth surface. However… after giving it a squeeze, he couldn’t help but think that it was exquisite, but perhaps… a bit too large?

Tang Huai tried to hold the pearl again but found it impossible to grasp!

“What do you think?” Yu You asked, his eyes bright as he stood on the soft, sandy beach.

“I like it a lot,” Tang Huai replied, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly. It was too big for his wrist and too large to hang around his neck; it could only serve as a night pearl by his bedside. Tang Huai rubbed his nose; it was certainly a one-of-a-kind gift.

He carefully put the pearl away before looking up at Yu You.

“Not leaving?” Tang Huai inquired.

At this moment, the blue tattoos on Yu You had vanished, and his legs were straight and normal. It was the first time Tang Huai had looked at him this closely and completely.

“Will you give me a job?” Yu You suddenly leaned in as Tang Huai pondered various thoughts.

“Ahem, how about the position of the Head of Ocean Patrol?” Tang Huai suggested, clearing his throat. Considering Yu You’s abilities, ocean patrol seemed fitting.

“If it’s not suitable—”

“Perfect.”

Tang Huai had a few more jobs in mind, but before he could voice them, Yu You interrupted.

Both of them knew that the job was just an excuse. Perhaps because of the close proximity, Yu You’s lips brushed past Tang Huai’s ear, sending a tingling sensation throughout his body.

“Mmm—” Tang Huai stepped back, only to see Yu You suddenly move closer. Tang Huai was a bit stunned. At 24 years old, this was his first time kissing someone.

He prepared to push Yu You away, but as he glanced up, he met Yu You’s cautious gaze.

The thought of rejection faded. He recalled their first meeting and the three years they had spent together. Their bond had grown quietly, bit by bit, like water seeping into the soil.

Seeing that Tang Huai didn’t push him away, Yu You deepened the kiss.

Tang Huai regained his senses. Although he had feelings for Yu You, being kissed so abruptly was a bit uncomfortable.

Switching from defense to offense, Tang Huai took the lead.

It was his first kiss, but with the ten seconds of experience from Yu You earlier, he showed no signs of retreat. Yu You was momentarily stunned, then instinctively responded to the kiss.

He had acted on impulse earlier; in truth, it was his first time as well…

The whale sharks discreetly swam away. Under the moonlight, only the two of them remained, fumbling through the experience of a kiss.

Author’s Note: The main story is now complete. The follow-up on the island’s development, the side characters’ stories, daily life of the tourists, Tang Tang’s romance, and more will be explored in the extra chapters. There will be about ten additional chapters.
