Chapter 101 (part 1): Rebirth of the Tool Man in a Pampered Protagonist Novel

Yan Tong woke up with a sharp pain, having been slapped hard several times, the forceful blows snapping him out of his unconscious state.

As he opened his eyes and took in his surroundings, he panicked, ignoring the pain in his body.

“Who are you? Where is this?”

His former hospital room had transformed into a strange, empty space, surrounded by a group of fierce, intimidating men.

The leader of the group, wearing a suit and glasses, looked like an ordinary office manager. Beside him was a familiar-looking elderly, chubby man in his fifties, and all of them stared at Yan Tong with a strange, unsettling gaze.

When Yan Tong spoke in panic, the elderly man’s eyes filled with hatred as he replied with a voice laden with resentment, “Yan Tong, you stayed at the Xie family estate for so long, and you don’t even remember me?”

“X-Xie family estate… You’re Butler He!”

Yan Tong’s memory wasn’t actually poor. He hadn’t recognized the butler at first because he never paid much attention to Butler He. The old man looked particularly haggard due to the recent events involving Xie Wenxu, which made it hard for Yan Tong to connect him with the usually kind-hearted butler.

Once prompted, Yan Tong quickly remembered, but this realization only increased his panic.

Although he had been mostly unconscious in recent days, he was vaguely aware of his situation during brief moments of lucidity. Xie Wenxu had crippled Lu Yan at the recording studio, and the child Yan Tong had been hesitating about keeping was also lost due to Xie Wenxu’s violent kick.

When he woke up in the hospital and learned what had happened, Yan Tong was filled with anger and resentment. He couldn’t believe the gentle and affectionate Xie Wenxu could do something so ruthless!

Yan Tong looked at the group of men in front of him in fear, feeling regret for the first time.

But his regret wasn’t about cheating; it was about not kicking Xie Wenxu out sooner. If he had, he could have continued his game. He had already secured a cooperation with the second branch of the Xie family, and Xie Wenxu wasn’t that important anymore.

Although Butler He was just a butler, he had been a valuable secretary to Xie Wenxu’s father in his youth, with a much sharper eye for people than the young Xie Wenxu.

He had seen Yan Tong’s greed and vanity from the beginning. Now, seeing Yan Tong’s emotions clearly displayed, his hatred only deepened.

This useless person had ruined his excellent young master’s reputation and put him in prison, yet he felt no guilt.

Any hesitation or guilt about sending Yan Tong to this ship disappeared, replaced entirely by hatred.

It was all Yan Tong’s fault!

The more hateful Butler He’s gaze became, the more terrified Yan Tong felt.

Butler He kicked Yan Tong away viciously.
