The Regent’s Farmer Husband [Farming/Live Broadcast]

Summary

The rich second-generation heir Jiang Ji accidentally transmigrates into ancient times.

A dead father, a sickly mother, starving younger siblings, and a house with bare walls—such is the miserable start of his new life.

“Yuck!”

A stomach used to delicacies can hardly stomach wild herbs and coarse cakes. Jiang Ji is on the verge of tears.

But heaven never truly closes all doors.
He binds to a livestream system—as long as he completes the system’s tasks, he can earn rewards and receive tips from viewers.

For the sake of feeding himself and his family, Young Master Jiang rolls up his sleeves and gets to work.

✅ Rice, pork, cotton-padded clothes
✅ Rare daily necessities and medicine
✅ Seeds of high-yield crops like rice, sweet potatoes, and potatoes
✅ Farming skills

…and more.

Before long—
His frail mother is rosy-cheeked and healthy; his scrawny siblings have grown plump, clever, and bright.
Once the poorest family in the village, the Jiangs now live in a large brick house, their business spreading across the nation.
Even their village and county have become known as a land of plenty, a place famed for fish and rice.

One day, Jiang Ji finds a wounded man dressed in black on the roadside. The man is strikingly handsome. Jiang Ji, who happens to like men, is instantly smitten.

The man has lost his memory—he doesn’t even remember his own name.

Jiang Ji says, “My name means silence; you can be Jiang Yan—‘flame’. Perfect match.”
The man nods. “Alright.”

Later—
Jiang Ji says cheekily, “I’m still missing a wife. You can be my wife—I’ll treat you well.”
Jiang Yan’s dark eyes glimmer. “Alright.”

Later still—
After one passionate night, Jiang Ji staggers out, grumbling, “You said you’d be the wife! Liar! How can I live like this?”
The now fully recovered Lu Huaizhou, former Regent Prince and feared power of the realm, walks out leisurely:
“You can still walk? Seems I wasn’t trying hard enough.”
Jiang Ji: (shaking legs) “!”

Lu Huaizhou, the Regent Prince, is both scholar and warrior—wise in governance, unmatched in battle. Appointed by the late emperor as regent for the young sovereign, he is revered even by the emperor as “Father in all but name.”

Devoted to the nation, he reforms the court and punishes corruption. All civil and military officials bow to his authority, and noble ladies dream of becoming his princess consort.

But during a mission to the south, Lu Huaizhou vanishes.
Half a year later, he returns—and announces his marriage to a village man.

man! A villager!

The court is in uproar. Ministers plead, present portraits of countless noble ladies, but Lu Huaizhou remains unmoved—and weds Jiang Ji.

When asked why the mighty regent favors him, Jiang Ji just laughs:
“Obviously because he has good taste!”

Later—
Lu Huaizhou leads the emperor and his officials to the mountaintop.
Below stretches a sea of fertile farmland, heavy with crops—sweet potatoes, corn, rice, and more.
The nation’s granaries are full; famine becomes a thing of the past.

The emperor exclaims, “Mr. Jiang, you are a man of great talent!”
The court choruses: “The Regent’s vision is unparalleled!”

Only then does everyone realize—Jiang Ji’s claim was true. He singlehandedly solved the empire’s food crisis.
